Roosevelt “Rosey” Grier played defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams from 1958–1962. During this time, he began to embrace his softer side by taking up the hobby of macrame and needlepoint. In 1973 a book was published published on the subject entitled Rosey Grier’s Needlepoint for Men.
